Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi all
trying to figure out if my bike (new triumph bonneville t100) has a problem as it's eating up petrol, I'm only getting about 24 mpg. (presuming I've worked it out right, getting about 80 miles from a full tank, not including reserve, believes 16.6 litres) seems very very low
any idea what mpg I should expect ?

    thanks

Firstly welcome to the forum - but summit wrong their - I'm getting roughly 115 miles (approx 13 ltrs/50 mpg) from a full tank before the lickle warning light comes on. It's a '08 efi engine too. Went up a tooth on the front which makes M/way riding a pleasure but made no differance to my mpg.

i think its to do with the petrol this country is importing in or whatever grade of fuel there getting in as its complete ****e i find,,,fook all milage from it lately well since october last year,, and now the price of it factored into the equation,,,like i was getting 65 mile mile for 8 euro of fuel last year mix of commute and lenthy spin sticking to the limits on all occasions, only getting that milage now if i stick in 12 euro or more now ,,and i find some petrol stations i go into(tesco wfd) when i put in the 6 euro 4 liters to turn of the orange petrol light ,it dosent do it,,drive in on orange light and drive out on orange light,,like wot would that do to ya

I think you're including your reserve in that calculation, total capacity is given as 16L for the T100.

To get a better idea of what you're using, take a note of how much is going in and at what mileage when you fill up and make sure to always fill up the same way (ie always put the bike on the centrestand or sidestand and fill to the brim). That'll give you an accurate figure in litres and also lets you see how different types of riding affects the mpg.
