    It is an oil spinner.

    Separates the crap from the oil using centrifugal force. Fitted on Scanias. You here it spool down whenever they are knocked off. It is sometimes mistaken for the turbo

    They are also fitted on some bikes and older cars I believe

    Ha yeah Lexus hybrid alright-rx400h
    It's the inverter/ converter assembly (with the cover off) it converts ac to dc voltage

    All too new and this engine didn't get fitted to them all however it did share a 1500cc engine with the Allaggro
