The rest of Catholic Europe and North/South America gets the wonders of Carnivale and Mardi Gras at this time, but thanks to the Puritanical British keeping us under tabs for centuries, all we get is a few lousy pancakes

What do you put on Pancakes?
I have Nutella, bananas, sugar, lemons for juice.

Feel maybe we should start with pancakes with mushroom filling first.

I hate pancakes. I will be having chocolate cake for the last time for 40 days.

    Pancakes are over rated.

I brought a big stack of pancakes in to work today and had a team pancake thing. Kiwis don't celebrate pancake day so people were a bit bemused at my love of all things pancake - although they did wolf down the pancakes I made. Stupid contrary antipodeans!

Never got the Nutella on a pancake thing.
    Bananas=wrong.

I alternate between sugar and lemon juice and golden syrup.
    Occasionlly some sprinklings of coconut.
    Yum!

Pancakes are horrible! They taste like sugary rubbery bread! Seriously don't know how anyone could like them! Then again I have only had pancakes once, it was a few years ago made from a cheap pancake mix and the person who made them didnt have eggs but it turned me off them for life!

Had scrambled eggs for breakfast this morning....destroyed them in maple syrup - need to prepare myself for the sugar rush tonight after training...

it's all about the preparation....for the pancakes that is,fúck training

I'm planning on frying some bacon, cutting it up small and adding it to the pancake batter, then making bacon-infused pancakes (thin crepe-like ones) in the leftover bacon fat. Served with maple syrup. Does anyone know if this is advisable? Never done it before.

you need to be having the crepe-like pancakes, not the other yokes.

    Love pancakes with lemon curd

Nicest pancakes I ever ever had was for desert....

Actually its the nicest desert I ever had and it was at Ryelands Cookery School at least 15 yrs ago....

Put some Fresh chunks of pinapple, strawberry, mellon etc on a skewer and gently warm on the bbq, lay on a warm pancake and pour a little cream and fresh fruit coulis (however you spell it) over and roll up, pull out skewer and enjoy....
