    Training at home. Tired so struggled with deadlifts compared to the last time I did them. On the plus side I think my form on front squats have improved since I started shwing'in out of rings and what not.

    It has opened up the shoulder / upper back area a bit more which has always been a touch problematic for me. It could also be because the weights are light. If I ever get my squat back to the dizzy heights it was before I hit semi-retirement training mode I'll find out for sure.

    Handstands are feeling more solid as time goes on so I'll start trying a few free standing ones soon. Now I've got 60s ring support I'm bumping that up to doing circles + holds while swaying on the rings.

    Upper back strength ain't the greatest especially on rowing movements. I tried doing a row in the tuck position which is the next progression and it wasn't happening.

    Had a load of distractions the past week so no training. Well should have gotten a session in Sunday but had bad time keeping and the gym closes early on Sunday.

    Got about a 5s free standing handstand. Still in the early flukey stage though but shouldn't take much longer to do it consistently.

    I can do strict muscleups now from the isolated dip + pullup work but the transition phase is weak as f*ck so I wouldn't be able to string too many together. Gonna work on this instead of weighted dips for a while.

    I also suck ass at L-Pullups. I think they put you into a similar pulling position for MU transition phase so they should carry over to that once I get better at them.

    Starting to inch away from the wall. Had a few 3-5s holds. From my internet reading 15s seems the first big handstand milestone so I suppose that's the goal.

    There's a load of crap in front of the high rings so did kneeling muscleups. Found them more awkward. Holding false grip has improved probably could have done an extra rep per set on the false grip pullups.

    Might be better to put the lever holds near start of session when I'm not fatigued but usually the gym is quieter towards the end of my session and I prefer doing the "is that lad doing crossfit" stuff when there's less people around. Also because I still suck at them.

    Working on freestanding handstands. Longest hold was about 6 seconds. I need to work on maintaining hollow body position I was losing it without the wall backup. So far I haven't been arsed with bodyline drills.

    Push Press sucked it was an attempted 5x3. I was pretty tired so I'll try it again next time.

    I wanted to get a max rep pullup number to start the year on. I figured before Christmas I would have been around 15 and I figured before the test today I'd be down about two reps post Christmas. I'll find out if that's true with a re-test in a few weeks. The 3 rep PB is purely for the fact I haven't maxed it in like 4 years or something and I used to be terrible at pullups compared to chinups. Max chinups is 15

    Going to have to move the horizontal plane stuff before vertical for awhile because of how **** my horizontal pulling is. Nearly as bad as my squatting.

    Trained in Refugees new place in Raheny. It's a good bit handier than Santry so I might make a monthly visit to do the split lifts

    Handstands took a jump today. I didn't manage to get past 10 seconds but I equaled it twice and got a few other long'ish holds. Looks like I'll have it cracked over the next few weeks.

    Strength levels were pretty good. Might have got 3x5 on bench but I didn't have a spotter and wasn't going to risk it. Ran out of steam a bit tho once I got to the 2nd set of pullup/dips

    I was away for a long weekend last week and was really busy the few days before and after so didn't get much opportunity to train until now

    L-Sit on rings with them turned out are pretty hard past 5-10 seconds. You have two things that can cause you to shake and once one of them starts to happen the other quickly follows and it's spaz out time.
