The Bugle Babes were formed by Derby Browne in 2007. They consist of three singers (Derby, Lou and Sue) dressed in 1940's style costume performing the hits of the 1940's Hit Parade, (Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Chatanooga Choo-Choo, Don't Fence Me In) as well as modern songs, given a vintage treatment (I Will Survive, Mr Sandman, and songs by Beyoncee, The Bangles and Blondie). These fantastic tunes, combined with superb choreography, slick singing, tight harmonies and seamed stockings, give top entertainment value and great novelty factor.

The Bugle Babes have performed in premiere concert venues, as well as radio and TV, including The Late Late Show, and recently to outstanding 'Knock 'em dead!' reviews at the American Embassy on Veterans Day.

*DERBY BROWNE BIOGRAPHY*

Irish singer Derby Browne is an eclectic singing talent with a voice that transports audiences across Europe to the cafes and bars of Italy, France and back again.

Starting her career at the Royal Academy in Ireland, Derby was awarded a coveted place at the Conservatory of Music in Dublin where she was given the opportunity to study singing, piano, harpsichord, drama.

On graduation her professional career began as a member of the Medieval Irish Singers performing at the world–famous Bunratty Castle, Co Clare.

Her talents took her from Co. Clare to London and the bright lights of Soho’s Theatreland, seeking musical and creative inspiration from the jazz and French and Italian jazz café’s that populate the West End side streets.

On returning to her native Ireland, Derby began writing and producing her own shows, the first of which entitled, ‘Café Mediterranea’, was a blend of romantic French and Italian music from Europe. With a strong influence from artists including Edith Piaf, Sacha Distel, Charles Trenet, Jacques Brel and Antonio Carlos Jobim, Derby toured throughout Ireland, with a showcase at Dublin’s Fringe Festival in 2005 and the debut of her first self-penned show, Café Boheme.
