Hey was wondering can anyone recommend a good venue for stand up comedy on Wednesday nights in the City Centre. Doesn't seem to be anything on in The International or Laughter Lounge

Laughter Lounge is closed on a Wednesday... only open Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

On a Wednesday night there's comedy on in:

    The Ha'Penny Inn
    Anseo
    O'Byrne's (Capel Street)
    Sweeney's (Dame Street)

I forgot - there is comedy in the International on Wednesday. But it's called The Comedy Cellar not the International on Wednesday nights.

David O'Doherty is on in there tonight.

have to reccomend Anseo FTW here.......

€7 in most of the weeks, your looking at six acts at least, and a pretty stellar headliner too.....

only have been once, but keep an eye on laughoutloud.ie for the lineups, the last couple of weeks have contained McSavage, and John Colleary, whom is worth going to see just for his Biffo resignation speech!!

Break for the border have started another, on a thursday too, but from the same brand. dunno if this helps as your looking for weds, but the lineups seem fairly tasty at the min too.

and btw, Anseo is a beauty of a pub, great porter, and has nice feel to the place.
