Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Connecting DS to internet through laptop using wireless router

    Hey all,

First off apologies if this is in the wrong place, and second of all, I'm not even sure if this is possible.
    Basically, I have:

Laptop with Wireless card and Ethernet port
    Wireless Router
Port in the wall my internet comes through

I basically want to be able to connect my DS to the internet. The setup I have in mind is:

Wireless Router connects to Laptop Wireless Card
Laptop Ethernet Port connects to port in wall.
DS connects to Wireless Router and gives me internet.

Hopefully I've written clearly enough what it is I want to do. I've messed around with this for a while and changed various settings and tested the connection on a phone browser and nothing seems to work.
Anyone have any hints? Is what I'm trying to do even possible?
    Thanks for any advice!

Incoming internet should be connected to the WAN port on the router.

Laptop and DS connect to the router.

DS connects using wireless as that's the only connection it has.

Laptop connects by wireless or cable as it has both.

Thanks for the answer, but really sorry there's something I forgot to mention in my original post. I need the internet that the DS is accessing to be going through the laptop because I'm running a VPN on it, so it has to go in the order I stated earlier.
