    Hello all,

    Following some discussion between cherryghost and myself we've come up with some suggestions for what we think the Boards server.

    So, in order to make sure we're all on the same page, I'm going to make a series of posts here with a suggestion in each one. We'd like people to Thank the options/suggestions they want included. By doing this this way as opposed to using polls, we can have a dynamic "wish list" of what's on the server so if you feel that something isn't working, you can remove your thanks for it and we can review and make changes if necessary.

    We'll review what's on this list every couple of weeks and won't make any changes without telling you :)

    One thing that's clear is that we should definitely have Mobs. This way, between this and Tallon's server, this should cater to most people's tastes. So, all of the following suggestions are based on the server having Mobs turned on. This will mean night time and the subsequent attack from Spiders, Zombies, Skeletons and Creepers will have to be factored into your play!

    We're already setting up some of the obvious plug-ins for the server which will allow us to facilitate a pretty wide range of ideas. On top of all this, we have this thread for specific suggestions for this server (instead of us all hijacking Korvanica's thread :))

    The world "Spawn" point will be a safe zone where players can't be harmed.

    Players will be given a starting kit with tools only (Iron we think is fairest).

    Players will be given a starting kit above but with a workbench and a furnace.

    The server will have a designated PvP area and any PvP action or engagements outside of that will be considered a breach of the rules.

    The server will have resource kits (e.g. /kit cobble to spawn 128 Cobble Stone into the player inventory).

    The Spawn point has some basic houses for people to shelter in.

    The Spawn point is a basic "camp" that must be built up as a defensible settlement.

    I would see this as potentially being the first big communal build project and what better way to establish the new world than with a safe walled town with accommodation and commercial units?

    The server will include the /home and /sethome commands which allow you to establish a personal home location that you'll be able to quickly jump to.

    The server will have the Teleport commands to allow players to jump to one another's locations.
