Surely off side after line out? By wales

"good pass, Luke Fitzgerald had to pick it off his toes" ....I swear O'Gara can do no wrong with our pundits :D

  • the kicking has to stop. Defensive kicking is fine, but when we are in their half, I can't stand it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

That was some brutal passage of play there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,415 ✭✭✭Lord Trollington

It's vey hard to watch Ireland kick away ball after ball...

Kick, Kick, Kick......then kick some more. 5 metres from try line with players outside you? kick....overlap with players outside you? kick. Over the try line about to place the ball? kick.

  • Genuinely, the Italians played more creative, better rugby than this for most of their game.

    O'Brien is INCREDIBLE

So frustrating to see SOB not carry once, not receive the ball from the SH running at speed.

Nothing has changed since last week.

We're going backwards. Back to what won us the GS under different rules.

The SH teams might as well just rename the Tri Nations the RWC2011.

Edit: first sign of what he can do and we DIDN'T kick!!!!!!!!!!

    Thats more like it.

    WTF Fitzgerald

Some cracking runs there. Surely a yellow card there.

That was some break by O'Brien - happy to be 13-9 up at ht - would have certainly taken that before the kick off!!

Sean o brien is an animal...

What I'd give for a MIX between Sexton and O'Gara. Sexton runs too much, O'Gara kicks too much.

Luke is having a shocker. Again.

  • I don't want to start any retarded provincial **** in the match thread, but I'd just like to point out that I find it absolutely and completely bizarre that a group of players who can play the game at a level 10 times above this, week in week out for their province, are so pathetically poor at the game when they play in green.

    It's absolutely ridiculously frustrating.
We have two teams into the knock outs of the HEC and one into the Amlin, and none, not one of them, play a game which revolves around kicking the ball.

Yet we get to Ireland games, and the plan that so clearly works every week against similar opposition, gets f'ed out the window and we see this turgid excuse for a game

Again the referee made a mistake there! We shouldn't have had that penalty, and Wales shouldn't have had two of theres. Very annoying.

Not as annoying as our tactical inetitude, but still annoying.

O'Brien is something else. You could give Fitzgerald the excuse that he is injured today but he hasn't played well in the campaign so far.

Hoping for better in the second half.

Hes injured. He went down when O'Gara chipped it through at the very start and grabbed his arm. I said instantly he ****ed his arm. Then he was getting treatment on and off, and then after a poor pass he went down again for treatment on his arm and commentator said it looks like he tore his bicep. It make sense, he can't seem to stretch his arm fully, couldnt for the pass and couldn't to catch that ball. Question is do we leave him on or put Wallace on?

    Congratulations ROG on 1,000 points.

Fitzgeralds form really isn't back yet, shame the likes of Carr can't get within an ass's roar of the squad, would have been good to give him some game time and see if one of the most prolific try scorers in the Magners Leauge from one of the weakest teams can play international rugby, rather than putting a centre on the wing when we were stuck because he plays for Leinster and was filling in for a Leinster injury crisis there.

Is Sean O'Brien now the most important Irish forward for go forward ball? Certainly been out playing Heaslip for both club and country lately.

Ireland discipline poor and more of the same crap from Kidney and selection / game plan.

Roll on Australia in RWC to put a half century on this team.

    Bowe has been excellent.

    /frustrated Irish fan for years.

Oh, to have McFadden on the bench to come in at 14 with Bowe to 15...

Earls to 15, McFadden to wing no?

Such a negative gameplan. Kick kick kick etc.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 645 ✭✭✭TheHighRoad

Be interesting to see if Kidney will bring on Sexton now. We need to play a different game. Or O'Gara needs to stop kicking, 3 poor kicks, one with overlap, one 5 metres from the line and one straight into touch for cross field. Then O'Driscoll kicked with overlap, Stringer kicked in a good position, Bowe did an aimless kick etc. We need to RUN.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 645 ✭✭✭TheHighRoad

Our pundits want more kicking. Ridiculous

  • Our pundits want more kicking. Ridiculous

Keith Wood wants the ball ran.

    Keith Wood is right.

Keith Wood's opinion >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> RTÉ pundits

  • Holy jesus, Stringer's worst pass he's ever thrown

Holy jesus, Stringer's worst pass he's ever thrown

    Very un-Stringer like

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 489 ✭✭petebricquette

For the love of god will they just run at them! It's back to the bad old days where we didn't seem to have any dangermen in the backs. Now we've got a backline full of them and still the same crap. Bowe is having a good game, Fitzer needs to be taken off. Paulie's doing a good bit of work too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

    Some great steals there.
No need for that off-load from Heaslip.

That all came from O'Callaghan knock on. Once again, we allow teams to get in those positions through stupid errors.

  • wtf

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,815 ✭✭✭Burgo

Fitzer needs to be taken off.

And bring on who though? we dont have any cover for the backs :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 645 ✭✭✭TheHighRoad

2 poor clearances from O'Gara (and another from O'Driscoll after poor Stringer pass). We need to wake up.

  • best kick we've had in the second half has been from our #8

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Fitzgerald is having a poor game.

He is constantly hesitating when he is counter-attacking and making a butchering chances.
