Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all, quick question:

lost my job two weeks ago, am on illness benefit in the moment, because i am not fully fit to work yet.
Am looking for rent allowance, but i live in house for 5 months only. There is a 6 months minimum term to be allowed to get the RA. If will I wait now for one or two more months and then apply, will i get it no problem?

CAN I APPLY FOR RENT ALLOWANCE FROM ANY DATE I CHOOSE AFTER THE MINIMUM SIX MONTHS PERIOD OF RENTING?

I only went to get forms from my local CWO today, but i did not know about the minimum 6 months term, only found it now on boards.ie - CWO did not ask me how long i live there or anything - am not officialy signed with her, because she said go to county council and put my name on housing list and do not come back before i will be on the list... :)

    Thanks for answers!

The CWO told you to apply to the local authority for a housing needs assessment. You may not be eligible for rent supplement until you are means-assessed by the Council.
