Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Ever since I updated Internet Explorer 8 to 9 when I play .mpg or any MPEG video it plays the video in the internet explorer browser as opposed to before when it opened up Windows Media Player to play the video (this is the way I want the video to play - in Windows Media Player as opposed to Quicktime in the web browser).

I have changed all the relevant file associations - they didn't needed to be changed anyway as they were set correctly to paly mpg files in Windows Media Player. It's all seemed to have happed since upgrading to IE9.

Anyone have a similar problem or know how I can fix it? I can't find any option in IE9 or Windows Media Player to correct this. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium with the Service Pack 1 update installed.

Without sounding unhelpful, download "klite codec pack" (http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm) and install it along with Media Player Classic (it's bundled in there).

Then use Media Player Classic for all your video needs - it's much smaller, quicker, more configurable and it plays - literally - any file format from .bin / .cue, .mkv etc. etc.
