Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know if AKAI(or any organisation) promote much K-1 Kickboxing? I know they have a good Full Contact team that competes at WAKO events but I have not heard anything about K-1 rules.

IIRC Black Dragon in Galway have Cathal Manning who was a european champion at one point, could be wrong but I know a few of their lads compete in it. Peter Foley will probably be on so he'll be able to tell ya more

WAKO have a K1 section so you should contact the AKAI (KICKBOXING IRELAND)

We have low kick rules & K-1 rules fights at our shows as well as regular Full Contact rules.
I have a show on May 7 in Galway with several K-1 fights between our gym and a Thai camp from Cork

Hey Jordan I think what you'll find is K-1 style events as K-1 is a registered trademark for the sport , if you look at other martial arts dedicated boards you would have seen pleanty of contraversy over this in the past, but yes there are plenty of clubs about the country who put on K-1 style bouts on their fight cards, so guess its just a matter of finding a club near you.
