How about instead of that you wear a sticker of Muhammad giving a pig oral sex.
    See how that turns out.

The OP claims he knows the difference between right and wrong yet he intentionally insults a large group just for a laugh. He's trying to claim now it was a joke but nobody finds it funny.

Just an internet bully who has no balls in the real world.

OP is just your a-typical internet bully tBH.

You posted this thrend wit the sole purpose of mocking someone faith. No other alterative motive and now your trying to justify it as a legitimate debate. its pretty sad in my eyes that you feel the need to do this. is it just the catholic religion or do you mock all other religions from muslin to Voodoo priest?
also where do you have all these meaningful debates with Catholics. please enlighten,
I've no religion but i've never got into a debate with a catholic about their beliefs, I just do care enough about it! Maybe your bitterness towards Catholics stems from something that happened in your youth. Were you an alter boy at some stage, might explain the anger?

its no more ridiculous than burning some wood and smearing ashes on your forehead.

I did not burn wood and smear ash on my forehead. you can do what ever you want next ash Wednesday but I will be doing the same I did this year which was nothing.

Yes indeed don't recall ever seeing one of those shaggers in real life. They'd know better I suppose cause they'd be in line for a good hiding if they tried it

No. Its wrong to mock a group who still defer to and passively support a religious order who protected their people to the detriment of young children.
    Shame on you.

Crap idea though. FSM is sooo yesterday.

You started it mate. looking for favour with my peers? random people on the internet?

Whats cheap about pointing out the idiocy of a stupid action and or belief?

No, I posted it in after-hours because I would have been banned from the religion forum as a troll and lets face it, i would be preaching to the choir if i posted in athiesm.

So what? you think I'm a chicken or something who wouldn't go around saying this in real life so i post on internet forums to curry favour with "internet buddies"? I'm not going to tell you how big my internet balls are (even though they are massive)

I have plenty of friends thanks, I've had plenty of debates with plenty of Christians and people of other denominations about beliefs. In fact I will always talk to a christian about his or her beliefs if they ask me about mine, and why not? surely dialogue is the way to liberating everyone from beliefs. especially when you appeal to someones sense of humour

Yeah, people should be free to believe what they want, and people should also be free to take the piss out of those beliefs and challenge them, otherwise people will continue believing myths and legends.

You posted the thread for cheap laughs.
I'm sure you have plenty of friends, I never even thought about that if I'm honest.
You were taking the piss and looking for cheap laughs at least have the decency to just put your hands up and admit it when you're called out on it.

Bullying? I didn't just imply to another person they had been molested by priests as a child, you did that, you just cracked a far more serious and offensive joke than I did.

Of course I did, surely you gathered that information from the first sentence of my first post.
No other alterative motive and now your trying to justify it as a legitimate debate. its pretty sad in my eyes that you feel the need to do this. is it just the catholic religion or do you mock all other religions from muslin to Voodoo priest?

Well, first of all, everyone knows voodoo is wrong, and i don't think anybody here believes that everything (including water) has an individual spirit. also, the topic came about because i was just thinking to myself about how funny the whole idea of putting the carbon remains of an arbitrarily assigned burned plant on your forehead actually is, as it was the day after ash Wednesday.

Secondly, I already don't believe in or worship the teachings of the prophet Muhammad, I eat pork and I don't fast on Ramadan; I think that's enough to offend any Muslim. It's also beside the point as this was not the topic, once again, it was the day after ash wednesday.

It was a joke trying to appeal to someones sense of humour; to make them see how some rituals are in essence ridiculous just by breaking down the action itself, it's not like for instance the ritual of two fighters bowing as a sign of respect before a fight, because you're conveying something meaningful to another person, or the sign of respect you actually give the dead who were once alive.

Yet again there's someone who is programmed like yourself to feel that grown people who use a forum should be shielded from questioning of things like this.

All rituals Involving worshipping an invisible man are stupid, grow up, see the joke, if you disagree and think that the ritual itself is worth doing, then say why, and give give me an argument that i can respond to, pussy whining about you or other people being or possibly being offended is worthless.

Actually I'm not angry, you're the one who seems to be getting angry, I'm finding it hard to see where all the righteous indignation is coming from either. where did i have all these meaningful debates with Catholics? i'm supposed to provide categorical proof? do you want a court hearing too? well i suppose it started when i was about 7 or 8 (Not the molestation now! It was then that i just found out Santa didn't exist), from then until i was about 15 or so i was agnostic because i figured hey! if he doesn’t exist then what other things that i had come to see as true could be wrong?

I think the only bad thing that happened was that i just moved over to Ireland; being a kid and wanting to fit in so badly i got my confirmation and communion on the same day even though i didn't really want to do it, i wish i was as brave back then as i am now.

Since i can remember i have always had a fascination with the world and how it works, i was told in Sunday school (when i lived in England as a child) about how the world was made in 7 days and i always thought that was an awfully short amount of time to be able make the world. when i got to secondary school i used to have debate after debate with my religion teacher and the local priest who "welcomed us into the community" when we moved to Wexford, but who also worked at the secondary school.

When i was 15 i just asked to be excused from my religion class because i had learned all i needed to. it was supposed to be religion class but we weren't learning about religion just about Catholicism. Even at the wedding of one of my best friends during the summer gone, i asked the priest that married them at the reception about genesis chapter 6 where it mentions giants on earth before man and how could he explain it, and he rattled off an analogy about spirits that we wanted to reach the same level as when it clearly states giants and how could we want something if we didnt exist then to want it. he actually brought up religion in the conversation, not me.

Clearly I should have recorded them for such times as i needed to produce proof of me having been alive for the last 28 years but there's my religious life story for you instead .

Funny...anyone else noticed that Ghosbuster and the other trolls are attracted to threads like these like flys to ****?

What is dafter Ghostbuster, respecting someone's beliefs no matter how "ridiculous" you think they are, or trying to provoke people you have never met on an internet forum by mocking people's beliefs even though they have no influence whatsoever in your life to satisfy whatever is wrong with you?

A message for you Ghostbuster,OP and other likeminded twits.

This is all I needed to know to assertain that I do not like you. Your usage of the word 'fail' was the icing on the cake.

Please don't be a hypocrite by stating you respect anyones right to believe in religion, then to turn around in the very next post and call religion a 'joke'. If you respect people's right to believe in something then don't go and insult those same people in the very next breath. Keep those opinions to yourself.

Ah but there in lies the cause of much aggro, especially around these here parts:)
Mocking an idea is not the same as mocking the person who retains the idea.
Your saying just now that all religions are a joke is not disrespectful of religious people but I betcha there are those who will take offense.
If I stated now that I have a magical fairy in my underwear drawer that nobody can see or disprove the existence of you will most definitely say that that is nuts.
If i say that this belief is very important to me you will still think its nuts.
What if a million people hold this belief dearly ? Its still nuts eh?
But are you disrespecting a million peoples rights to believe in the magical invisible fairy or just my magical fairy idea?

Edit: And hey presto people are offended by your post.
    Dont call nuts things nuts!!!

He said that he respects their right to believe in it. Not that he respects what they believe in. There is a difference. It's not hypocritical.
