Networking book

Looking for a decent introduction to networking type book. Stuff I'd want covered: OSI layers, routing, switching, that kind of thing. I'm not looking for the absolute basic basics if that makes sense.

Any recommendations?

I have an old version of this one, recently updated to the 5th edition. Written by Andy Tanenbaum of the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, the guy who wrote Minix. Despite it being an academic text book it's very readable.

I remember Tanenbaum's name from college alright. Holy god though man! That book is 900 pages long! Having said that, the table of contents does have sections on everything I'm interested in covering. Hmmmm.

I have a book 1 & 2 - neverused..

If you want to borrow them let me know.

For Networking, I went straight from the Comptia Net + stuff to the Cisco CCENT / CCNA stuff. I found it covered it all quite well.
