Robbery in Balbriggan?

    Anyone hear what happened on the Harry Reynolds road this morning? Garda, army, ambulance, etc. out there around 8.45, sounds like a robbery of some sort, possibly armed.

    i was going up harry reynolds road around 9.45 heading to the credit union and there was a cash escort stopped at the graveyard with the army out and about and down at the turn for clonard st there was a ford escort van stopped with two police cars around it and the drivers wing mirror was hanging off and the drivers side front wheel was flat.the driver was holding his arm across his chest and the gardai were just directing traffic.id say it was just some sort of rta that the gardai with the cash escort stopped with and as a result all of it had to stop because if it was an attempt to rob it we wouldnt have been waved around the van and on our way and the army lads didnt look too bothered about anything.when i parked up on the market green a fire brigade came flying down and headed back up to the ring road so maybe the driver of the van had taken a turn or something didnt see an ambulance though
