Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

AR, you've had such a steep learning curve. You're one of my most respected posters on here. I'd have more respect if it was for the Canon thing.....

On a serious note I really do enjoy seeing AR's pics

If you know anybody well-versed in DSLRs try to get out with them as much as possible, I'd say 90% of what I've learned (so far, still a lot to go!) is from other people. A lot of the technical details went over my head when I read up on them, it took being physically shown things on the camera that made them click.

Maybe head to the Photographic Expeditions forum and see if there are any photowalks near you before you go.

Amsterdam is a beautiful city, lovely landscapes that belie its somewhat seedy reputation. Full of cannals, very photogenic.

    +1

Have a great trip OP. As AnimalRights said, practice makes perfect. Having the confidence is half the battle too.

    Enjoy!

The best part about my trip is that being from Amsterdam I know where to go!! There are some fabulous spots, but of course I wont have enough time in a week!!

I had a look already in the expeditions, but none really ever come this way, so I might put a post there soon and see if anyone wants to come to Beautiful West Cork!!:D

    Thanks again.
