Hey guys, I'm hoping to get my 1st tattoo soon and thought that i should do some research before i do.

I'm hoping to get the word "love" on my forearm. Each letter will have a lot of detail and it will be in colour.

So I was hoping that someone could suggest which artist or tattoo parlour would best suit me.

    Thanks

if you already have your design in mind then one artist is as good as another. gooogle tattoo parlours in dublin and this will give you an idea if their work matches your design. i'd recommend colourworks just on personal experience. planning on get more work from darren but rob's work seems tasty.

This is the worst advice ever!

Well, I've only been to two tattoo parlours in Dublin (Zulu Tattoo and the one in St Stephens Green).

Recommend Zulu a lot, they know their stuff, do a great job and will tell you anything you want to know about care etc.
The one in St Stephens Green: Not so much, seems like they treat it more as a money-making bussiness.

Yeah have to agree with this. Each artist would specialise in a particular style, so it would depend completely on their experience.

I'd search up a few places on the likes of Facebook and check their portfolios. Or there's a few stickies up the top if you wanted to search them.

Also search this forum for "dublin tattoo" and you might find some more advice.

I went to one in temple bar today to get my shouder done... they quoted me 300 euro and said a stencil would take about 3 hours to get ready...went to golden ink and was in and out in a hour with the piece finished for 120 euro.

Its the one on top and it looks exactally like the original print out i had.

Was that Dublin Ink by any Chance ? They are part of a franchise and have a Tv series hence the crazy prices.

That's quite similar to a design I had in mind for myself. Where exactly is Golden Ink though? I googled them and couldn't find any information.

Was that not the Golden Cat tattoo place you were talking about? Beside the Thunder Road Café in temple bar. 2 girls. and a guy now, actually, I think. Josh?

Go through the list of artists sticked on this forum and have a good look through thier portfolios to try and find a style which best suits your requirements.
Of course its best you have a decent chat with the artist first and ensure you are comfortoable and confident with the guy/gal and that they are able to create exactly what you want.
