Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Watching DVDs on a computer?

    Would anyone here know why movie DVDs played on my PC have the sound out of sync with the pictures? For example an actor's lips moves but their voice sounds a split second later. Is this normal? Is there a way of syncing the sounds with the images? Is there a Windows setting that can be changed or do I need a new DVD drive or graphics card?

    try using vlc,see www.videolan.org,your computer may have,a virus,or theres too many programs loaded at startup,eg itunes,get the latest version of realplayer free version.Many pcs come with aload of crapware, eg programs ,demo versions, etc eg i use avast antivirus,not norton which tends to take up
    too much memory.
    what pc have you got, eg cp[u,ram, eg intel core duo 2.oghz 2gig ram.
    dvds should play perfectly.

    Your probably using an application that is heavy of use in memory terms.
    (Not your fault, its the fault of the makers of the app your running)

    As ricman wisely suggested, run VLC, its one of the best if not THEE best for this type of problem alone.
    (VLC strains the pc less in resources than other applications, besides being well designed in other aspects too)

    There might be a problem that your PC needs more memory (RAM) but thats only a "might".
    If the problem still persists in VLC, let us know.
    Remember, there is also the chance that the video file your trying to run is of poor quality too!
