Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone been following the latest saga involving this man? He's one of my favourite characters from the AFL, just because he always gives you something to talk about, but he's in quite a sorry situation at the minute.

On the day he was released from rehab (after 60 odd days) for gambling addition, he is later seen being asked to leave the Crown Casino after trying to join in a few hands of poker. The interview 24 minutes into the clip below is staggering to say the least. Hard to see him gracing a footy field at the highest level again.

I watched the interview on The Footy Show and even though I knew he was messed up I didn't think it had gotten so bad that he'd tried to commit suicide.

I'm also a massive Fev fan. He's such a talented player and a bit of a character as well (I thought his drunken antics at the Brownlow were brilliant!) but he's clearly screwed up.

It would be fantastic if he could get himself right and get back in the AFL but I'm doubtful as to whether it's possible sadly. Having said that there have been plenty of reformed characters in recent years.

i think that was the end of him to be honest. ever since that, everything has come out into the open, and it was there the sexual abuse claims came too. its like having a friend, who might be a bit of craic when he is drunk, but at the end of it all, you know he is messed up in the head, and before long he isnt funny any more and is just pitied.

I'm probably generalising things a bit, but Cousins had a similar type breakdown, but Cousins seems to be a lot more inteligent than Fev, and altho his drug taking was excessive, it was also structured and despite him being an addict, he generally kept it to himself and did it more to unwind rather than as a means to escape his life troubles. Fev seems to need to drink to try mask his problems, and he just doesnt seem to have the same diciplin that Cousins has and whilst cousins could use this dicipline to re assess his life and change it, I dont think Fev has the same resolve. he is already saying he will continue playing poker a couple of times a week online as there isnt much money involved. for someone who has a gambling addiction, he should be keeping away from it altogether.

It was said as part of the rehab process that he is allowed to gamble safely and poker is the only thing he is allowed.. no horse bets etc.. This is supposed to make it easier instead of going completely cold turkey..

I served him in a pub once. Very rude. He wasn't even drunk yet.
