Where's my Orange Box (HL2) saves!?

    Weird issue here. So I started playing Half Life 2 on the Orange Box a few days ago. I'm after powering it up and tried to load up my saves but it's telling me I have none!?

    Even though when I went out of the game and in to storage settings I can plainly see 21MB of Half Life 2 savegame (as well as Portal). Just tried there and the Portal ones load up fine.....

    Also my achievements are still intact from the last game. 'tis a noodle scratcher all right.

    Any\all help greatly appreciated.

    Well..............um. Not sure why.

    Started up a new game and this time even with the auto-save I manually saved. Tested it by exiting the game, shutting down the system and going back in and lo and behold my saves are there!?

    F*ckin' weird to say the least.
