    Hi guys,

We've lauched our new company, with significant differences to those in existence!

We're on FB so check us out: http://on.fb.me/gvNbRF

    Here's some info:

    Double D Alternative Management

What is Double D Alternative Management?

Double D Alternative Management is a Dublin based (but international thinking) management group specialising in music and entertainment. Particularly within the alternative music and entertainment space. We’re not out for fame or fortune, and want to work with people who aren’t either!

Not in it for Fame or fortune? What’s the point? What’s your mission statement good sir?

We don’t have a mission statement; we can’t fit our plan into a statement, and refuse to put ourselves into a box. Hopefully this Q&A session will help. The aim is to bring musicians, bands, producers, sound engineers, photographers, journalists, venues etc. together and push alternative music forward for the better good of all. Double D Alternative Management is run by musicians caught up in a stagnant scene, keen to get things moving actively again for the good of everyone.

What makes this different to other event organisers and management companies, there are a few million already out there?

Read on below, we have a different fee structure, we tailor for not just musicians or bands but anyone interested in helping out in the live music scene. Photographers, producers, sound engineers, marketing professionals, lighting specialist’s etc. etc. etc. are all welcome to get involved.

So how much do you charge, what’s the profit sharing arrangement, terms of the contract?

    Nothing, nada, zilch, zero!

Huh? Elaborate? Money makes the world go around?

Double D Alternative Management is not for profit. Any money made will be pumped straight back into the music, and any excess spread amongst the participators. Full disclosure of all financial issues will be available! We shy away from written contracts because we trust you, and we aim to gain your trust.

    What’s to gain for anyone?

You as a musician, band, photographer, sound engineer, producer, venue etc. will gain access to other people suited to your particular needs. Fed up of being an indie band booked to support a grindcore metal band in a back of nowhere pub on a Tuesday night to a man and his dog? Any events will be in decent venues on proper nights with all participants properly tailored for. Producers, engineers, photographers etc. will gain access to bands and events that they would actually like to participate in and work with, not just what they are forced to.

Okay that’s what everyone else gains, what does Double D gain?

Double D Alternative Management fit into the musician’s category above. As mentioned, Double D Alternative Management is run by musicians, not businessmen or cowboys! They will also fit in and participate with the entire program. They will be performing in the gigs and getting they’re hand dirty with everyone else. The end result will be great experience, exposure, enhanced portfolios, and a more active and vibrant music scene!

Will you be targeting international bands?

Yes and no! There are plenty of fantastic event organisers out there bringing in big name bands to the best venues, and they do it great, but this is not our target area. If any small international bands would like to come in and participate we won’t be turning them away!

So you’re not targeting big signed touring bands?

Hells no!! We want to work with small time players, those with a hunger and love for the scene, but with the common sense to work together and successfully for the better good. If you’re doing great on your own, then fantastic, if you need our assistance just let us know!

So you’ll be setting up your own events?

Yes and no. We’ll work with venues and promoters, and get the best deal for our participants. As mentioned, we will not be targeting the Tuesday night spot at the Dog & Monkey Bar to the man and his dog! We’ve been there done that, and we won’t do it to you!

    How can I get involved?

Join our social media groups, or drop us a mail. Give us as much info on yourselves as possible, and links to any samples of your work. We’ll even do the same for you! We’ll bring together a central database, and match people off as best we can! We’ll work towards some great gigs and good times for all!

Okay we’re ready to go let’s do this!

Super, we’ll get to work and keep in touch!

We're a music management company, but with extras! We bring together bands, musicians, venues and photographers, and aim to get as much exposure for our associates as possible! We'll liaise with other promoters to put on nights, ad form a go to shop for any help!

The principle is based on a mutual respect! My band is involved in the intial set up, and so our reward or income will be to be involved in the various gigs and other promotions!
