Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hope someone might have some advice here!
I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 (1mc) which I got in 2009. Up to now its been great, but in the past couple of weeks, the power flickers from charging to basically not charging! It can do this without me even moving it at times. Its charging up fine, but I don't know why its flickering back & forth so much form charging to battery use. I have to fiddling with the AC lead going into the laptop to get it back to charging.

anyone have experience of this happening or know what I can/can't do! I have considered getting a new lead, but not sure if its the lead or an internal problem. I'll take it to a computer shop if I need to, but just thought I'd ask here first.
    Thanks!

My guess would be its either a dodgy psu or the laptops power jack has become loose over time. Both easily replaceable/fixable.

If you have a multimeter or can get one text the laptop psu, or even better if you know anyone with the same model psu give that a go.

If your gonna try a universal psu be carefully, they can be awfully dodgy. Make sure its set to the correct voltage too.

    G'luck!

Thanks! I think its the power jack is loose as I can get it to stay on power when I keep it still, but have to fiddle with it if its on battery!
I just hope that's all it is, so might just buy a new powerjack & pray it works! Not sure if best to buy of ebay or would somewhere like Soundstore do it (as its where I got the laptop)?
