Madrid, the capital of Spain is one of my favourite cities. First of all, it has some really impressive architecture, parks and fountains. What always amazes me about Madrid is the lively street life and the amount of musicians, bands and mime artists that are to seen around the city everyday. Accommodation is cheap with single rooms in the city centre for as little as €20! One can travel on the Madrid Metro for just €1. Great place for a weekend or a longer stay. Some of the most famous historic cities in Spain such as Toledo. Avila, and Segovia are within easy reach. Basically, Madrid has it all!
