Signet Visonic Compatibility ?

Are Signet and Visonic 868mhz wireless devices compatible with each other?

They all appear to be made by visonic but the net is scant on whether they are compatible, although there is a hint of it, nothing in writing.

I have a Signet Wireless Keypad would it work with an Visonic Alarm KeyFob / Wireless PIR and Wireless Door Sensor ?

    Much Appreciated ;)

Yes, that is correct. Although they are made by Visonic they use a different code so it is not advisable to use the sensors with the other system. That is straight from Visonic. Visonic sensors will have Visonic sticker on them and the box and the sensors made for the Signet have a Europlex sticker on them.

    The keyfobs work fine.
All other devices are coded & a SigNET system will not even see them.

Visonic sensors will work with a 200 and 300 once you have a license key

    Interesting!
And is it possible to obtain those keys?

That doesn't worry me, not on support.

    Keyfob...excellent!

Hmmm yeah that would be good, as visonic are honestly easier to get hold of on fleabay. Warranty or support isn't an issue..

Support wouldn't be a major issue.
I rekon once the panel sees them & accepts the device you will have no issues.

Thats what I want to know.
On a decent size job it would cover the extra cost of the 200.:D

Thats correct as the difference in price of the sensors makes no sense since they are made by the same company. Got nowhere making inquiries today :P

That's not a wireless expander in the pic.
They are very useful for large jobs, not so much in your standard domestic

As you've never heard of this before I suggest you ring tech support.
It is a similar procedure to upgrading the old firmware when a key was needed

Are you saying Europlex support this?
I have spoken to them before on Visonic vs Europlex devices.

As tech isn't an option for me as I am not a customer nor a buyer nor a reseller nor installer. Any suggestions ?..

how do I know if my panel is already unlocked or not ?

The licence key removal is only an option for upgrading from a Visonic panel to a SigNET 200 or 300.
If will not be supplied or supported by Europlex just to let you install Visonic devices.

How are they to know you are up grading :D
Handy to know there is a way around getting the key.

Well I don't think they are going to be doing it on a regular basis for you.

As with everything there is a catch. You need to connect the 200 or 300 up to a labtop plus give them the serial code off the alarm to be able to do this. Handy though if you are installing a big enough system.

Or as I H said to me, if you were replacing a Visonic panel with SigNET they would be happy to oblidge.
Europlex certinly arn't going to do this so you can trot off to Visonic & buy your sensors etc...
