    Hi lads,

The brother in law got his firearms licence back (thanks for all the advice, esp EZ)... Now he needs to gill in the import form, sorry for my ignorance- but neither he nor I know what to put in for 'CIP Proof' or the 'firearm category'

Apparently 'details can be found on our website' but where they can be found I don't know.

    It's a CZ 452 .22lr with mod.

    Cheers in advance!

Fill it out as follows. Importation form.

    All these are obvious enough.
    • Date:
    • Name:
    • Address:
    • Telephone Number:
    • E-mail address:
    • Country:
    • Dealer/Private:
    • Full Name & address of business:
You fill out Part A for the personal importation of a firearm as follows:
    • A-D = Your firearm falls under category C.
    • Type = Rifle
    • Make/Model = CZ 452
    • Caliber = .22lr
    • Characteristics: Bolt action
    • CIP Proof = Yes
    • Serial number = You fill that in yourself.
Additional information that will/may be required:
    • Your license for the firearm. Copy front and back.
    • EFP. European Firearms Pass.
    • Dealer's license (that you are importing from) Copy front and back.
    • Dealers PULSE ID that is getting rifle for you. (if you are going this route, but not necessary if you are collecting).
    • Day pass to colect the firearm from NI dealer and bring across the border. Available from PSNI here.
I think that is most everything. I'm sure if i've forgotten something, someone will remind me.

When done e-mail it along with all the necessary attached documents to the address at the top of the page or fax to the number also at the top of the importation page.

It can take up to 10 working days for a decision .. :)

I wish everything firearms related was that efficient.

Thanks again EZ. Should have it al sorted soon. Going to ring the Gunshop tomorrow to see if there's anything they have to get sorted at their end in advance or if he just has to get his documentation and show up...
