Side rack for camper

Hi, I am looking to put a side rack on my VW Caravelle camper fibreglass roof. Hoping to be able to put two surf boards on it. Has anyone done this before or do you know anyone who has done this? Only at design stage at the mo and want to avoid any pitfalls :) Thanks lads
