Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

installing second hand sky+ box

    I recently got sky installed into my house - multiroom sky+ box downstairs and ordinary box for the bedroom. I now would like to get a sky+ box for the bedroom also to make life easier. However sky are quoting €199 + €60 instillation fee as not new customer.

    Before the engineer installed I got him to put in extra wire in bedroom just in case i wanted to upgrade to second Sky+ box so all set up for simple upgrade i think.

    Is it possible to buy a second hand Sky+box on ebay and put it in place of ordinary box or is this a complicated process as €260 is pretty rediculous in fairness??

    Yes you can buy a second hand box and then just ring sky up to match the box to your account..

    Yup, Once u get a second hand sky+ box then just ring sky and ask them to pair the card to the box..

    I intend on doing it myself soon as i have the old sky+ box lying around since i upgraded to new hd sky+ one.

    just waiting on OH to sort the wires.. let me know how you get on but as far as i know they will pair it up no problem :)
