Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, Got a call today saying that I have an interview for next week, the person said she'd send on the details in an email, just got the the email there but I cannot open it. I think the problem is that it is meant for an outlook account but I have a hotmail account. When I scroll over the icon beside the subject it says "this is a meeting request" . (the icon is a picture of a calender with an envelope in front). Is there anyway that I can open this? Please help:(

Never came up against this myself, but was interested and gave it a go.

Sent a meeting request to my hotmail account from my work Office Outlook Web Access account, the e-mail came in, but hotmail can't process it. Hotmail attempts to process it, but returns a message about not being able to complete the request. Tried in both Opera and IE8.

Tried sending the same to my Gmail account, and Gmail is able to correctly display all the details I'd filled out from the Outlook account.

Surprised that Hotmail can't when Gmail can do so with ease.

Maybe someone else will have more insight. All the best with the interview, if you get to it! :pac:

You could forward the email to another account like gmail or any other webmail, out just forward it to your brother or sister

I tried that (both ways), but you can't open the meeting request in Hotmail to forward it on.

It's funny, I did the reverse, sending a meeting request from Hotmail Calender to my Outlook account, and it worked flawlessly.

    Hmmmmm, I see.

Seeing that you have outlook on your PC then why not configure it to recieve mail from your hotmail account

Yes, I could do that, but I'm not the OP :o I'm only testing it as I've nothing better to do, and can send meeting requests from an Outlook account to a Hotmail account to test.

OP is trying to open meeting request on their Hotmail, sent by another person from their Outlook (or similar) account. When meeting request is sent from Outlook to Hotmail, an e-mail comes into Hotmail, but no details of the meeting request are visible, no way of accepting the meeting request either, and it isn't added to Hotmail Calendar.

It works the other direction though. And Gmail can process the meeting request from either Outlook or Hotmail.
