guess he must be playing injured. Not that anyone will give him any credit for it  sure he's not the type of player that would do that.

Or SAF lied to make Carragher look worse. He's done weirder things..

berbadropped, very surprised. Chico/Rooney is looking like a good partnership, but you have to feel for the guy.
I know he is our top scorer but he is not scoring at the minute. Rooney and Chico are.

Should be an interesting game. Coming into an away leg behind by a goal will force them to play somewhat offensively. I expect them to keep it some way tight till ht unless they fall further behind. If it's nil all at ht - I fance they will pull out all the stops - and they are a dangerous enough side. Utd should still come through but my money would be on a 1-1 , 2-1 to utd on agg.

Did you watch the first leg at all?

I know he is our top scorer but he is not scoring at the minute. Rooney and Chico are.

In fairness, he hasn't had many minutes since he last goal, could have buried one against Wigan but he set Rooney up.

Personally I think Marseille will go through. I'd like to see Manchester United progress though.

    1-1.

If this was a Bayern Munich vs Inter Milan Match Thread that post would actually make sense! :pac:

Nerves kicking in now, cant believe Marseille are causing me this much discomfort.

I think it's the 0-0 first leg that does that. Utd will win 3-0..

United with a nervy 1-0 Nani goal!

I also have a sneaky feeling that Marseille may pull off a shock tonight, Man U have to bring their A game for sure tonight.

Delighted to see Hernandez starting, him and Rooney have formed a nice little partnership,

Nice bit of faith put in him by Fergie, and nice to see him being rewarded for his efforts, he does put some amount of running into his game.

Berba must be sick.....what does he have to do to get a game?!

Listening to TalkSport for the build up. Can't stand pre/post match TV3 commentary.

Tbh I'm not nervous about this game at all. I wouldn't be too disappointed if we went out tonight. Realistically I don't think we have a hope of winning the L this year and with things so tight at the top of the league, it may prove an unnecessary and expensive distraction.

Why mess about with a stream when you can watch it on TV3 Live Player

Fergie and Heinze shaking hands and laughing, all is cool :)

I think there is alot of tension amongst Utd fans in general over this game. It's Marseille ffs, they are no where near our standards. OT will be buzzing, comfortable win IMO.

The amount of people suggesting utd will struggle lead me to conclude it will be a comfortable home win.

It would hardly be a shock in fairness.

There's a possibility of two things happening tonight.

Man United go through, or Multiple bans being handed out on boards.

Not a United fan, but I think when Utd go 1-0 up, Marseille will crack up.

    Some pace from Nani there.

Old Trafford has a max capacity of 70,000. With that many people, you are always going to get one or two gob****es, so get over it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,588 ✭✭✭daithijjj

According to talksport it was united fans acting the maggot during the silence.....because they are sitting beside them. Anyway, lets put it down to idiocy or the demon drink and move on.
