There is a hostel just over the bridge from it which saves on Taxi fares and such

I'm heading there tonight(was there once before but was bit drunk!) shall report back what it and the hostel is like.
Hostel is quite cheap too if you book in advance. There are 12 dorm rooms and it can cost only €12-€14 for the night. But there are 8 and 6 and 4 bed dorms but of course the price goes up for them.
Bus Eireann aint that far a walk or you can hop on the Luas and get dropped off there.
