Hmmm, not sure if id be made on a roleplay server but if a boards guilds sets up I'll be in for it.

I guess its really the only MMO I've got excited about outside of actual wow expansions

I used to play eve and tried playing wow a few times just never been part of a guild, From what i gathered guilds where a place like minded people went did quests and talked or am i completely wrong in this thinking Lister1?

Long term if you wanted it to work you would be looking at setting up ventrillo server, website etc. There is much more work involved then I suspect you envisage. I often think that the boardsie guilds have such a high fail rate due to the initial leader not being experienced enough for the task at hand....

If you want to be a Guild leader then members that you recruit will have expectations of you in that role. If you dont meet their expectations then things tend to fall apart very quickly. Being the guild leader is certainly less fun then being a normal member.....

What kind of guild is this?

We’re trying to appeal to both both hardcore and casual irish players. And we do have both hardcore and casual members, and we're getting along very well so far! We will not strive to become the best guild in terms of PvE or PvP progression. We will however strive to be the best Irish guild. We’ll do equal amounts of PvE and PvP in SWTOR since we do enjoy both parts. We plan to have different guild events in-game that we hope our guild members will enjoy. Our biggest goal will be to have as much fun as possible while playing what we hope to be, an awesome game by an awesome company! All major decisions will be discussed within the guild before being executed. We do however have different ranks within the guild. Members who contribute to the guild will be promoted. Our leadership consists of a council of members that work as recruiting officers, guild event officers and guild officers in general. The leadership does whatever it takes to make our members as satisfied as possible when it comes to plans and decisions.

Who will we recruit?

As long as you're mature and act respectful there should be no worries! This is mainly to get to know you as a person. We will not require our members to have a certain skill within gaming, we will however encourage our members to do their absolute best both in PvE and PvP content. We will also encourage our members to strive to be better players in general. We will be looking for people who will be loyal to our guild and who will try to help us make the guild a better community for all of our members.

On what server will we play in SWTOR?

Most of our current members are interested in playing on a server with open PvP so you'll be able to find us one on of the European PvP servers as SWTOR releases.

regardless of whatever irish guild u join in SWTOR, lets do it right and Announce what server we will put all or any irish guilds on. So stay tuned to this thread, im thinking most will want a pvp server, maybe a poll would be good to settle it. Whatever we do lets not spread ourselves out over loads of servers

regardless of what faction, Republic or Empire, we should all Stick to the one server. So stay tuned to this thread over the coming months. When we have a very successful irish guild on that server, then u dont need to pay for a server change, just change guild.

On the note of guilds, my housemate and I are trying to kick off an Imperial RP guild - for the most part limited to Agents and Bounty Hunters. Premise is a branch of Imperial Intelligence, the Ubiqtorate, along with a group of "independent contractors".

Would be a Heavy-RP focused guild, so probably not most peoples cup of tea. Figured I'd put it here for anyone who's interested.

Erin Go Bragh and ATT will join forces under the ATT Leadership Team in Star Wars The Old Republic Mmorpg. Our goal is to become the largest and most successful Irish based Guild in SWTOR and to cater for each players wants from such a guild with progressive raiding, pvp premades and a great social atmosphere

On the 26th of december, all Erin Go Bragh members will transfer over to ATT
Both guilds will continue to recruit individually until merger day. We will update this announcement soon with the server name and character names of officers to contact.

If you want hardcore raiding, PVP premades or just a place to socialise, we aim to have it all.

which faction is the ATT guild going to be on? I quit wow about 3 months ago because i didnt know anyone on the server and it got boring as ****... waste of 6 85 toons

Are you "The Galactic Republic" or "The Sith Empire"? Im assuming that being the Sith Empire is exactly like being Horde in wow where you have to wait for a decade to play PVP... If the races and classes are balanced I'd much rather be the republic!
