Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pellet stove problem

Hope this is the right forum.

My parents got a indoor pellet stove with boiler (Italian brand) and they have had nothing but problems since it was installed. These include: motherboard failed, auger motor failed, auger bushings failed, fan failed and auger motor has gone again.

Is this common to have this many failures with indoor pellet stoves?

The engineer blamed the pellets saying they were too long and too hard. They were over 50mm alright and the bag says average length 30mm with max 45mm. Have contacted manufacturer via phone and email with no response. The person on the phone didn't want to know. Could long pellets damage the auger motor and bushings repeatedly like this?

    Thanks, Gulliver.

Unfortunately, I don't think I could name the pellets or the stove on Boards. Suffice to say they are a well known brand.
