Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Benefits advice for new comer to ireland

A friend of mine moved to Ireland in September, she had lived here before, and has now moved back with her children. She managed to get a part time job and single parent allowance. Her previous partner now wants come and live with her in Ireland. He is not Irish and has never lived here. He had offers of work but they have fell through.
If he moved here to live with his family, would they be entitled to anything, as he would probably not qualify for habitual residence. She only qualifies as she is working so does not have to fullfill this requirement. Would she lose her benefits if he came? could they claim anyhting else? Any other benefits would not be classed as a family benefit from what I understand, so would not be able to bypass the habitual residence condition.
I'm not up on this much. Any advice for them would be apreciated.
