cheapo sub 300e laptop wanted please

    For basic word, email, internet browsing but at least 15" screen and reliable brand for my aunt. thanks

    Not sure you can get one that cheap, well, new, anyways.
    Anything €300 and under is usually netbook territory.

    That said, I did see a 17'' Advent Vista laptop for €350 in Currys/PCWorld over Xmas. Probably not the best make/model/spec though.

    There is a lovely Toshiba for not much more than €300 in Powercity and in DID electric.

    I'm interested in something similar for the OH but this one has no webcam.

    What would be a good price/make for a household laptop for wireless internet browsing, watching RTE Player, and skyping? I would've thought the netbooks would be a bit small for regular viewing?

    thats not a reason not to buy it.
    you can buy a webcam from as little as 10 euro and clip it onto the laptop
