Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just read that there's a HA charter in Ireland on www.hells-angels.com

Is this a new thing or has there been a charter here for years? The website says it's new but dunno when it was last updated.

They've been around a while. Are you thinking of joining? Does your beard touch your belly?

I'll need to start with buying a bike. Then I'll worry about the beard.

Yup, have a few friends in the outlaws, I've seen the HA patch at a few rallies, never bothered too much by it, they're pretty legit these days, more of a brand now.

Charters are issued to a prospective MC club to become a new HAMC chapter and is referred to as either chapter or charter.

wtf is the point in joining something like this? Other than the fact you get to say you're a member, seems like a huge waste of time and is only for people with very little in their lives to occupy them.

And are they really serious about these rivalries between groups? Like come on, are they all 8 years old?

They visited a bike rally here in 1992 (if momory serves, I was there) where they caused trouble and were escorted to Rosslare and told not to come back. A local bike club and the Garda Siochana did the honours, not a republican group.

Firstly, I'm not a member of the HA !!!! I'm not even in a bike club of any description. Just chose the username as I had just read the book about the HA's most notorious leader Sonny Barger *.

Anyway, their's been a branch in Belfast for 4/5 years, I'm surprised that one wasn't setup down here before. The Belfast HA were orginally called the Chosen Few which were formed in the early 1970's. I wonder who they amalgamated with, The Devils Disciples ?

From what I've heard about them, the can be pretty serious fellows by any accounts. I'm a bit of a martial arts nut and from talking to guys from the States down the years, to get into the Angels you've got to be let's say, able to handle yourself. Indeed in America they are sometimes referred to as the Mafia on wheels.

Appearently the HA outside of America and Canada generally aren't in the same league for violence but of course their are exceptions such as surprisingly the Scandinavian countries, Denmark in particuliar. Holland HA are another formidable gnag of them. Here's an account of what was known as the Nordic bike war where 12 were killed, 74 attempted murders and 96 wounded with even an anti tank missle been used to destroy a HA club house by their rivals the Banditos.

    'fraid so...

They were a**holes lording it up in their own compound trying to live up to an image that I'm sure they are still looking for. Anyway, one of them took exception to a fella (Club member from Dublin) who was making light of their wholesome attitude, and he got stabbed for his troubles. That's when it was decided they weren't worth the trouble.

i can tell you from my own experience that these guys are not to be messed with, but in holland they are usually followed by a few cops and the riot police are not far behind...

There have been loads of occasions recently involving them where the riot police came and beat the lot... trouble makers or not just to show that they are not above the law.....
They are usually from the north of the country very close to the scandinavian groups...

The Chosen Few (Belfast) patched over to the Angels around 04/05. The Chosen Few (Dublin) are still unchanged. They remain linked to the Chosen Few chapters in Europe but appear to have severed all ties to Belfast. They aren't a member of "The Alliance". The Alliance were set up to, in their words "The Alliance Ireland is a group of Irish MC 1% clubs, who are united to keep the Irish bike scene free of international biker politics. This refered to both the HA and the Outlaws, the Outlaws, or AOA as they prefer to be known, however had other ideas and have, to the best of my knowledge, have 6 Chapters between north and south.
The strange thing about the Alliance and their aim is that the Devils Disciples and the Vikings both keep strong links to their overseas brothers. It seems that international biker politics is only a problem when it's someone elses politics!

Your reading way to much and believing it too it seems.
Why would you use that user name if you don't want to be associated with them??.
Like any other club, ya show respect you get respect , act like an idiot and expect to get treated likewise.
I've been to the bulldog bash a couple of times and have always been treated very well.
