    football_logo26.jpg VS football_logo21.jpg

19.45 tonight at the Bernabeu, 1-1 from the first leg. I expect Real Madrid to win 2-0. Mourinho has a record of 21-0 at the Bernabeu this season, and I expect this to continue.

    Lyon have to score,simple as.

If Real go out, they can look at the 1st leg and wonder how they are not carrying a 2 or 3 goal lead into the this 2nd leg.

Game will be edgy until Real score and saying that I expect them to win.

Madrid are overwhelming favourites, but I'd be delighted to see Lyon turn them over again.

    Is Ronaldo fit?

    Is Ronaldo fit?

Yes, heard on Sky Sports News.

BTW, that 21-0 is 21 wins and 0 losses ;)

Did Bill just say that Ronaldo played for spain?

I know he has softened his approach but ive never heard Dunphy talking so glowingly on Ronaldo. "A phenomenon"

ha what else was he saying?

The usual "Ramos can't defend" line was trotted out.. although he stopped short of calling him a headbanger so maybe Eamo is mellowing

Referee's got a good grip on this game so far. Hope Real win this.

Well played by Gourcuff there followed by an awful free kick. The match has started at a good pace.

    Lyon look nervous

Come on Lyon, hope they knock the crap outta Madrid

From the early goings I can only see a comfortable Real win here.

Of course I would love a game as good as last night win a similar away result.

  • Registered Users Posts: 239 ✭✭TheEscapist

Madrid the better side but Lyon still look capable of getting a goal. Pepe looked a bit wobbly in the opening 15 to me.

  • Registered Users Posts: 239 ✭✭TheEscapist

Lyon are getting into this game more and more.

    Should be winning tbh

Definitely should've tested Casillas more anyway. Gourcuff's delivery has been woeful thus far.

Good tackle I think. I was refering to the Lyon centre backs tackle on di Maria not Carvalhio's

  • Registered Users Posts: 239 ✭✭TheEscapist

Thought so too. Two Madrid defenders on yellows after 30 mins now.

pepe pushed him but carvalho dived in a bit and got a yellow - might come back to haunt him later!

Nothing wrong with that challenge at all. Typical European booking though

Not a bad game at all so far. Lyon look quite dangerous when they go forward so Real could do with a goal.

    Gourcuff's delivery has been awful.

Both teams look really up for this.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLL What a fcuking goal! Great composure! Nice to have a goal in this game, been excellent to watch so far

Great goal by Marcelo. Lyon are giving away the ball far too easy

LMAO - the chap in the apartment above me just started roaring puta when the goal went in :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 239 ✭✭TheEscapist

Doesn't really change anything for Lyon, always needed to score. You'd just worry about them leaving themselves open to the counter with the pace in the Madrid side.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,558 ✭✭✭✭dreamers75

Some silly yellows in this, good game tho.

No change for Lyon still need to score.

    Fantastic save

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Just started watching now - looks like last season's game to an extent, Real domination, but only one goal..

    good game, far from over.

Ye must have been foaming at the mouth for the past 6 seasons. I wonder how Chelsea are doing, will check the result so far there.

Lyon goal please - make this a cracker.

Fair play to RTE showing this rather than replicating ITV and the plastics coverage. Real are so quick on the break.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,832 ✭✭✭✭Blatter

Dunphy again, talking a load of horse ****.

Of course Madrid have a chance of winning the CL.

    What a tool.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,296 ✭✭✭RandolphEsq

Jeez Real are flying in the whole 4 mins of the second half. But, as is the biggest, and most true, cliche in football, as long as it is only a one goal difference, no matter what, the game is not over. EDIT: until the final whistle blows

    Ozil is a ballet dancer!

    Awful from Gourcuff

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,153 ✭✭✭everdead.ie

Marcello has been excellent but Lyon haven't been able to go ride any of the challenges

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,685 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

He does do some daft things some times
