This pedestrian bridge connects Nebraska and Iowa over the Missouri River; the only bridge to connect 2 US States.

Thanks, I didn't know that. I believe it also featured in a movie called "The Blue Max". I think that was the name of it and would have been made in the 60's or 70's.

Some of these shots are fantasitic.

I tried to shoot the Sam Beckett bridge in Dublin recently but all I got was blur.

I was using a tripod, but perhaps my settings were off.

It was night time and all I got was blurry, out of focus shots.

Any tips/hints to shooting these kind of shots, especially in low light conditions - what apperture/shutter speed would be the best etc?

thanks, I'm glad you like it,
It was taken a couple of years ago and much like everyone else, I had done the side view thing to death and instead wanted to photograph the bridge as we always see it, but rarely photograph it. :)

If your shots were blurred, then it is down to movement/camera shake, maybe your tripod is not sturdy enough, even the slightest breeze can wobble a tripod, the mirror lifting can cause shake, use mirror lock up, pushing the shutter can cause shake, use a remote release or timer. Hope this helps some?

This was close at the time as I was returning from World Superbikes in Donington, I had time to kill before catching the ferry in Holyhead, so I stopped to take a few shots of this bridge.
