How much was Hodgson given to spend on top of his sales?

I think Kenny will be given the job.

Are you back onto the net spend topic again? I see no point in going over that again as you have started that debate six or seven times already this season in the superthread.

Hodgson bought poorly with what he had, and he was a p*ss poor manager in terms of tactics, leadership, media management and pretty much everything that falls under a manager's remit.

You started many debates about how good Hodgson is in the superthread during his time, but anytime you were asked if you thought he was good enough to manage United, or Arsenal, or Spurs or any team with ambition beyond survival you always declined to comment so for you to be back trying to dig up some kind of defence for the journeyman is a bit laughable.

If you want to bring up net spend or Hodgson, maybe you should do it in the superthread again, and if people debate it with you again, then great.

Otherwise all you and I are doing here is dragging this thread off topic, and I don't fancy another infraction for doing that.

Have a look at how much new money Hodson and Kenny have been given to invest and you'll see if I'm serious or not.

Rafa had £104 Million nett over his time which is an average of £17 million a season plus whatever he got from sales on top of that.

Roy got nothing nor did Kenny except what they took in from sales and they didn't even get to reinvest all of that..

How much was he given under H&G?

Anyway, it has been done to death. You have problems differentiating your left from your right so financial analysis isn't going to be your strong point.

    game-raising specialists.

    Beat United,thats your season.

and i'll keep saying it,that IS your season.

Hmmm, not too sure about that. If we were game raising specialists wouldnt we have beaten braga?

The idea that you are a game raising specialist to me means that you can raise your game when ever you want. I would say Utd are game-raising specialists.

If you can's see how the amount of money he had to spend reflects on the quality of his signings theres not much point discussing it with you.

we didn't have to raise it that much.

    Utd were shíte that day.

    and we had Suarez.

so your point is completely moot.

last night just highlighted our major problems, and the major areas that have been neglected - out wide - and Carroll's inclusion makes that stick out like a sore thumb.

my point is not completely moot at all.

you play ****e nearly every single week but somehow pull this wonderful preformance out against united.
That IS all your fans care about and it seems to be all the players know, prepare for your cup final against the dirty mancs, like la.

after my glorious post last night I have returned to say that this is complete rubbish. United were terrible and it's no co-incidence that Berba has been on the periphery since that game. Was one of the most abject performances I've seen in a big game from United.

I would say they raise their game for Utd, Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal and the bigger European teams - its a pity as one might say that its maybe a small team mentality.

I see your point but we are far from specialists at anything at the moment.

Ironically, if Liverpool's problem is failure to consistently beat the mid-to-lower-table teams, it's a player like Berbatov that they need. He's often derided as a flat-track bully and only scores against the weaker teams. Frankly, if Liverpool had a player like that for the last 2 years, we'd probably still be in the Champions League places.

    ok, we're done.

anything else can be discussed in the Superthread (not Muppet and Kess's relationship though :p)

this has gone downhill long enough, and i'm as much to blame from earlier maybe. either way, we're done.
