    Excellent.

Liverpool lose, the better team are through and Melion got in practice for his shift tonight.

    Everybody wins.

If Maxi and Cole regularly feature in this team next year, you will not win a single thing.

    Simple.

Didn't deserve to go through as we barely created a chance in either leg.

Piss poor in both games, didn't deserve to score, let alone to go through. Bring on the summer and a raft of transfers out please.

Fair play Braga, did all they had to do, which wasn't much.

    Learned nothing from tonight basically.

Kennys lack of european experience as a manager coming to the fore. Dare I say Hodgsons EL nous may have brought ye home. ;)

I wish that stupid Merkat ad was never broadcast.

Note to all: adding the word "simple" or "simples" to the end of your post does not to anything to make your point.

We went out to Portugal to play for a 0-0. We deservedly got less than that.

I'm not sure what we were trying to do tonight.

Better team won over both legs. No arguments from me.

Won't be many sales of that UEFA campaign.

Shocking football from the first game they played.

Jose couldnt do well with that team.

Very poor stuff tonight, Tactical plan from Kenny seems to be lump the ball to Carroll and hope for a lucky flick on, its not good enough if i'm honest

What are peoples opinions in general on Kenny getting a long term deal?

Even before tonight I was keeping an open mind on it. No point rushing into handing him a deal, hes not going anywhere. I reckon we should survey the landscape in terms of who may be available in the summer.

    Poor Poor stuff tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43,311 ✭✭✭✭K-9

Well, at times we did try and get the ball down, it wasn't all hoofs to Carrol. Meireles and Lucas very poor, Braga parked the bus and we had nothing. Probably 2 decent crosses all night.

Anyway, it's warming to see other fans having digs at Kenny! Better than pity at Roy.

I don't think, you can blame Kenny for the exit.

Or as people say in Germany: 'You can't build a decent car out of cardboard'

Still hope, Kenny is made permanent ;)

    Different Manager

Same **** performance from the players.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out where the problems lie.

First full EL game I've watched this season. What a wretched competition. Terrible atmosphere, worse football, two pretty dire teams on the night, empty seats galore. Will not be trying that any time soon again.

Why not? If that was Roy Hodgson, he would be getting pelters for it, but because its Dalglish and he is a legend, its not that bad. Well that was your last chance for a trophy and Dalglish got it completely wrong in both legs. Liverpool were dreadful i thought.

Too many long balls by Carragher. Just because Andy Caroll is upfront, does not mean you just lump the ball up to him. Its an option, not a way of playing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,187 ✭✭✭Sappy404

Can't complain, better team over two legs won out. At a certain stage I realised that even if we got past Braga, with our two best outfield players unavailable and a frankly awful midfield we were never going to win the tournament.

To be honest I'm more annoyed than I thought I'd be about going out, possibly due to aggravating factors like Cole's lack of a performance (among others), Pacheco on the bench at the end and Carragher's continued hoofing.

Just as well, very slim chance of being in it any time soon!

Nice chant of YNWA at the end and nobody leaving early. No over reactions and recognition of the job ahead.

    I'm serious,

It's one thing to raise your game against United and Chelsea
, your problem is that the players then think they are actually at that level and don't need to put in the same effort against the weaker teams.
