Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tell your frend what he really needs to do a real job on those blonde bulls s to cross them onto a SIMxFRxLIM wth a bt of angus or hereford knockng around somewhere n the bloodlne. It would be an added bonus if somewhere (probably on the Lim line) there was a question mark about ancestry due to the fact that a good oul scrub managed to get at a bunch of hefers. These pb cattle aren't a real job at all.

nice bus- just like most of your cows- the wrong colour:eek:;):p

    D4

Didn't know they still produced dyna4!
Had a 7618 out on trial last week and it was vario. Gutless. Awful struggle to pull five furrow. Had to narrow plough to 18 inches.
Dyna4 to me is the best box. I've dyna6's here and hate the box.

I'd have no use for D6/vario here. BIL had her under a 5 furrow reversable 2 weeks ago at 20 and he said she was snoring, under no pressure. Very level barley ground

We run the ploughs at 11 to 12 km/h and the 7618 hadn't a hope of keeping up. Vario was killing her.

That's a fair forward speed. You must have very few stones.

If we did that steel would wear really quickly 8km/h would be it 10 in clay

No Stones, but steel wears fairly fast.

Serious, how are you dealing with this? Are you standing off?

If you were in KK they'd be talking about on Boards😎

used my drive way as a cow track dropped all the permanent fences at the back of the paddocks so I wasn't going in at the narrow end of the paddock and put everything on once a day and kept them moving on breaks. Have some high residuals but no serious damage to paddocks. Stood them off in the last rain and ended up doing more damage getting in and out of the paddocks than if I left them in there.

How's about we at least TRY to keep the photos and ensuing discussion to 'Livestock/General Farming' subjects, like it says in the thread title, huh?

I don’t know what I missed either and I thank Rovi for this. Personally this is one of my favourite threads on boards and the one I read and reply to most. All too often it becomes littered with one liner, sometimes one word, “chit chat” replies that have nothing to do with farming photos or sometimes even nothing to do with farming. Well done MOD !

And yes, the irony of this reply not being directly related to the thread topic isn’t lost on me either - rant over !!!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,354 ✭✭✭naughto

so we put up pics and expect people not to comment on them
whats the point in putting them up then
people need to chill the f1uck out with all the mods jumping in all the time now

    [MOD]

Keep the photos and ensuing discussion to 'Livestock/General Farming' subjects, like it says in the thread title.

The posts have been removed as an activity that had been mentioned was illegal and the following posts that continued in the same line were also removed. The image that began it all wasn't suitable for a farming/photo thread.

This is the last warning. Arguing about mod direction on thread is no longer tolerated.

    [/MOD]
