Cold Bridging

This has probably been covered before, but I have an issue with trying to eliminate the cold bridge in a foundation detail, yet maintain a FFL as close as possible to the ground level.

Will using an insulating foundation block in the final course under the sole plate eliminate the cold bridge or just reduce it slightly.

    CAD drawing attached.

Just check the timber framer is strapping and not bolting to the rising wall. I'd have a vapour control/ airtight barrier inside the studs with a services cavity. Alternativly use the OSB inside with a diffusion open racking board like panelvent or Gutex.

Thats a lot of concrete and block under ground. A raft with perimeter strip supporting the outer leaves could work, the outer leaves would not need to be as deep as frost heave is not a consideration for non structural walls. Alternatively you could have the top two course of block on the dry inner half of the rising walls done in quinnlite to reduce the bridging.
