    Got an interview for a RA position tomorrow... advice anyone?

    Dress smart, take it seriously and if you have relevant experience in hotels/hostels etc make sure to emphasise it. Being familiar with emergency and security systems helps as you'll be expected to check fire alarms and such, but that's a bit of a stretch for most people. Have a think about how you'd handle situations like having to enforce res rules with fellow students, difficult/drunk people etc. Best of luck with the interview!

    Have answers to these questions: "Tell us about a time you were responsible for others." "Tell us what you would do in the event of an emergency." Pretty standard questions really.

    does anybody know when they are sending out the Emails about the interviews

    Out of interest does anyone check up on the RA's ? Or are they pretty much given free reign? Say they just weren't arsed telling people to stay quiet, would anyone know?

    A few years ago one was kicked out for having guests over and stuff. They get inspected too.

    As in to let you know if you have an interview or to let you know how you got on at it?

    In answer to both, they phoned and emailed almost 2 weeks ago to offer interviews and will let successful candidates know by the end of April if they've got the job.
