Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Adobe won't open xls files

I keep getting the following message when opening a xls file.

'Adobe reader could not open xxxxx.xls because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).'

Both files I want to open have been sent via email and i have saved them and then tried to open but to no avail.

I have Adobe Reader X (10.0.1) and Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX downloaded.

    Thanks in advance

xls are microsoft excel files. you need microsoft excel to open them. if you have excel right click on the file where it was doenloaded to your computer and click open with excel

And if you don't have Microsoft Excel, another option is to download the 'Excel Viewer' from the Microsoft Downloads Centre here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

If it's something that you need to edit, consider using Google Docs :)

And Open Office will open them for you.
