Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ok, so I want to block some sites.
In IE I can do it but not Mozilla.
As I use Mozilla all the time what I want to do is fix it so when my teens type in a certain web address a password is requested.
    any ideas? thanks

You can block completely by editing the hosts file, but I'm sure FireFox will have a plugin to allow only with a password.

Register for an account on OpenDNS. Then use it's Content Filtering to block out the sites you don't want them to view. If you are on dial-up/mobile broadband or another form where your IP changes get their Auto-Updater and install it on your machine so OpenDNS constantly knows what IP you are and can filter properly.

Then you don't need to worry about browsers, just need to worry about 'em changing DNS servers :P

But will I be able to access the sites myself?

If you change the DNS servers :)

To be honest you didn't specify you wanted to use those sites until I was replying so this mightn't suit your purpose. Better than nothing though

    BlockSite 0.7.1.1

BlockSite is an extension, which automagically blocks websites of your choice. Additionally, this extension will disable all hyperlinks to these websites, by just displaying the link text without the clicking functionality.
