A friend is looking for building work, no trade as such trained for couple of years in roofing but I understand that is a bit different over here. He is looking for labouring work being applying on gumtree that kind of thing without much success. Anybody have any tips agencies to use etc? He is not afraid of hard work or…

His best bet is to try and meet Irish lads in the pub or playing GAA etc and try and get their bosses phone numbers. A good few Irish owned companies in Melbourne and they tend to hire Irish. Good rates of pay aswell with the union here.

Jobs on Gumtree are usually rubbish with poor pay. Tight arse bosses use it to get cheap labour from backpakers who are stuck for money.
