Found some DVDs I was looking for on here, http://www.base.com/ ; never heard of them though. Anybody used them and what was the experience like?

Expensive shipping if I remember correctly..

EDIT: Shipping does appear to be on weight (was charge £1.19 shipping for a simple Blu-ray and £5.09 for the Band of Brothers Blu-ray Tin).

It's €1.39 to Ireland for a DVD, less than Amazon who are also more expensive for the single DVD. I could live with that if everything else was kosher.

I’d suggest looking up your DVD’s on the below price comparison website. Sendit.com and Bee.com presently have free delivery to Ireland, so you can easily buy one DVD from one site and another DVD from the other (no need to bulk order). Play.com have “free” delivery but beware that their compulsory Euro conversion rate may pretty much amount to the same thing as a delivery charge. Also TheHut, Zavvi and Asda have 99p delivery to Ireland on DVDs.

Thanks, that's where I found Base.com, the other sites didn't have what I wanted. I've tried a once off order with Base.com, I'll judge it from that.

Just as an update. I placed an order with base.com on 23/3 which arrived today, 28/3. Allowing for the weekend and the fact it came from the Netherlands, not bad going.
