Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

First of all, how many different names are there for the bloody things? I've heard them called head race bearings, maybe steering column bearings and others too. My mechanic told me they were just starting to develop a notch in the central position so keep an eye on it. Any idea if I can let this go for a bit or is it a better safe than sorry situation? I'll only do about 3000 miles a year on this bike.

How much would one expect to pay to get them replaced in a good independant garage? The bike is a 98 Blackbird.
