Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

yes you must tell them you are living with your girlfriend and yes it will affect your claim. is she working and if so how many days and how much does she earn?

You will not qualify for Rent Supplement if you are in full-time employment. That is, employment for 30 hours per week or more. (In the case of couples, if one of a couple is in full time employment both are excluded from claiming Rent Supplement).

She works 5 days a week and earns monthly about €1500?

You won't get rent allowance if you live with your spouse and she works over 29 hours a week. Doesn't matter what she earns.
Only heard this a few weeks ago off a CWO.

What you are doing is committing sw fraud. You have to declare that your g/f is living with you and also her earnings.

you completed an application form for JSA in which you were asked about your spouse/partner, did you just leave it blank? have you been interviewed by a SW inspector? do you realis that an inspector may call to your address to inspect your circumstances, and that if you apply for rent supplement a CWO will definitely call to inspect your home? omitting to tell the truth is no different to telling a straightforward lie. you are fraudulently claiming a SW payment and your breaking the law. go down to the local SW office in the morning and tell them that your GF is living with you.

That is fraud and will not be entertained here, you have been advised on the correct way to regularize your situation with the dept of social protection.
