    Advice I wish I knew back then would be:
    Think for yourself. Don't live your life by your friends views, thoughts and reactions. Their ideas are as sketchy as yours are so you might as well please yourself.

    Do things you love to do..

    If you can make one of these things your job/career, you will be happy..

    Whatever you do in life be happy doing it. Don't get stuck in a job simply because it's a source of income. Don't marry someone because all your mates are doing it. Find what you want to do and find a way to make a living doing it.

    Know yourself, be confident in yourself.
    Understand that you are beautiful and care not about how others perceive you. You cannot have everyone like you, at least if you be yourself, you will automatically surround yourself with the right people for you.

    foxinsox is correct regarding work. I never ask people what they do, I don't care. It's not what makes the wo/man.
    Whatever you do in life, be happy.

    If you want something, do your best to make it happen.
    Don't waste time by putting stuff off.
    I can be a bit of a hedonist at times but I believe we should live in the now.
    Could be dead tomorrow, so why put the fun stuff off? ;)

    my advice is pretty much along the lines of what others have said and here's a few more ..

    no matter how hard it is and much you hate a job , hang on in there until you have something else lined up because it's much easier to go from job to job, than dole to job .

    Dont be afarid of hard work but dont be anybodys doormat either

    Remember , mistakes are made so we can learn from them .

    Be open minded and not to judgemental of people and situations until you have all the facts .

    Make as many new friends as you can - get different points of view, and hear about lots of life experiences..!

    1. Figure out who you are, what are the important things in life for you, and what are the negotiables. Pursue the important things vigorously.

    2. You will change as you get older. Go back to 1, rinse, repeat.
