Is the precious raft out yet?

Nope. It's a shame though, as it would have been great for the likes of today.

Ah yeah. Jaysus, I was roasting in that big, heavy trenchcoat. :(

Is that the scent of sizzling sausage wafting in the summer air?

First time I've ever got to use the 'fan' setting on my fan heater and I'm still gasping. Doors and windows open as well.

I don't like it when it gets this hot -- it's not really very hot, I know, I know! I used to live in Chicago so I know what hot means. The sunshine is great, though, and I wouldn't wish this weather away, because it's so great to see everyone so outdoorsy and happy.

The water down at Blackrock yesterday was the nicest I think I've ever experienced.

The raft was jammed the entire time though. :pac:

If Galway had this Californian weather all the time there is nowhere else in the world I would rather live.

I think it makes it even more special that we don't get this weather all the time. It seems every single citizen of Galway was outside enjoying the sunshine this weekend. It really lifted the spirit of the city.

It's one of those panoramic things where it stitches several pics together via an app. Can skew the perspective slightly ...

Autumn-Winter sunshine is beautiful too. The cold dry weather has the children out playing for hours in the residential estates, and the Prom is bustling with walkers. And photographers...

Beautiful sunshine on Saturday, 15th February. Shop Street was thronged, and there seemed to be more buskers per square metre than anywhere else on earth.

Galway on a bright sunny day reminds me of why I moved to this place three and a half years ago now.

I stayed with my friends in Salthill on Friday night for the first time.

It was amazing to wake up to the sun shining in the window and looking out at the sea. I can see why they are so happy there. Then the smell of the fresh sea air.
